IQAC School of Social Work,Roshni Nilaya in collaboration Vedhik IAS Academy organised a webinar on introduction to Civil service examination on 5th January 2021 on 6.00 p.m via zoom platform.
Dr. Babu Sebastian was the resource person for the session.He has served as the Honorary Joint Director of Civil Service Institute, Pala an institution which has produced over 100 IAS, IFS, IPS and IRS officers from the State of Kerala. He has served as a member of various national and state educational policy bodies.He was the Vice Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam.
The webinar started with introduction about the academy followed by learning strategies to crack Indian civil service examination and how to leverage online education for easy and fast preparation.The prescribed syllabus for UPSC and the three stages of exam, I.E Prelims, Mains and Interview was explained. He also explained in case of Prelims, the marks are not considered for the final score. It is only a qualifying exam to appear for the UPSC Mains. The UPSC Mains is more difficult as it is subjective in nature. There are nine papers in this exam covering a wide range of topics under each subject.
