On Wednesday, 14th April 2021, IQAC, NSS unit, and SC/ST Cell of School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya commemorated Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar's 130th birthday at Maria Paiva hall in the college campus.
The virtual programme hosted via https://meet.google.com/mdj-pczh-dxt began with a prayer song by Sr. Anima Minj, Sr. Hunsimai, Sr. Jumila, Sr. Sarina, and Sr. Asha.
Mr. Obanath, NSS Programme Officer welcomed the gathering. Dr. Jenis Mary P, Vice Principal, Assoc. Prof. Vineetha K, Registrar (Evaluation), Mr. Obanatha Mera P., NSS Programme Officer, Ms. Veena B. K., Asst. NSS Programme Officer, Mr. Sandeep, SC/ST cell co-ordinator, Dr. Kiran Prasad, IT Co-ordinator offered a garland to Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar's portrait as a gesture of respect and offered tribute.
The resource person Assoc. Prof. Vineetha K. spoke about Dr. B. R. Ambedkar's life’s journey and his struggles by encouraging students to transcend all humiliations and lead a life that should be great rather than long with self-respect and self-confidence. Dr. Jenis Mary P, Vice Principal, gave the Presidential address. The Master of Ceremony was Ms. Shravya, NSS Volunteer and the programme ended with the vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Sandeep Ullal, SC/ST Cell Co-ordinator.
Staff and students participated in the event both in person and online.
