Workshop titled ‘Happiness Lab” for non-teaching staff
Internal Quality Assurance Cell, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya organized a Development Workshop for the non-teaching staff titled "Happiness Lab" on Friday, 15th January 2021 from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm at Maria Paiva hall. Ms Vimarsha Jain, founder, Ritam Mental Health Service Centre, Mangaluru was the resource person. The inaugural programme was unique and symbolically depicted. The programme was compered by Ms Roshini Goveas.
During the workshop, few secrets to be happy in life found expression through various activities and sharing in groups. The participants were made to realize their self-worth, and the comfort they feel in the company of others, where the whole is taken into account, rather than each individual in isolation.
Exercises were introduced to accentuate an appreciation of relationships. The resource person focussed on how having a grateful attitude helps combat stress and to appreciate the relationships that one often doesn’t cherish enough.
The workshop was invigorating and the participants were happy beings, charged up to carry the happiness lab along.
