Given below are the activities of Roshni Alumni Association, Mangaluru during the year 2019-2020: Home Coming Day, ‘Milana’ was organised at Eden’s Club with presentation of Digital Directory of the Alumni of the college, Speeches by Ms. Philomena D’sa, Provincial and other dignitaries, games and dinner.
- Roshni Alumni Association, Mangaluru, on 14th August, 2019 had its newly elected Executive Committee with Mr. Dheeraj Shetty taking on the baton from Mr. Kishore Attavar as the President, Ms. Lydith Pinto passing on the role of Secretary to Ms. Emelyn Pais and Ms. Eveleen Benis continuing as the Treasurer. The major activities of the association were:
- Scholarship of Rs. 5000/- was awarded to to 6 deserving students of school of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya
- A certificate Course in communicative English as an add on course for the Students of the college was initiated in order to prepare them to be employment – ready
- The Post Graduate Diploma in CSR is being continued.
- On 14th December, 2019, the Association honoured 200 permanent P. K. Antony’s Sanitation Staff, Municipal Workers, of Mangaluru City Corporation in collaboration with Uexcel, an NGO. Hon. Deputy commissioner, Commissioner of Mangaluru City corporation, environment Engineer of Mangaluru City Corporation and other dignitaries were present at the function. The Association also involved in Fund raising for this event, the fund raised being Rs. 3,52,000/-.
- On 23rd February, 2020 the executive committee members organised a picnic to Udupi .
RAA moves ahead with a stronger bond with each executive committee with the joy and satisfaction of being a part of our proud alma mater.
