Roshni Alumni Association, Bengaluru Chapter
Activities of the year 2020-21

Roshni Alumni Association, Bengaluru, is one of the vibrant and dynamic associations of School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangalore. Due to the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic the following two activities were only possible in the above mentioned year.

1. Receiving 80 G and 12AA Certificate:
The association with its active involvement of Social Work professionals could apply for 80G and 12AA exemption certificate from Commissionerate of Income Tax during the year. It is one of the landmark achievements of the association under the leadership of Shri. Vasanth Kumar Kamila, Alumni, MSW, batch of 1990.

2. Sports Meet 2021
Roshni Alumni Association, Bengaluru organized a one day Sports Meet at HAL grounds on 28th February 2021. The day began with prayers for the departed alumni members in the recent past due to Covid 19 pandemic and other illnesses.

Shri. Vasanth Kumar Kamila, President of the association welcomed the participants and appreciated their commitment. Around 100 alumni participated in the sports meet. Events like cricket, throw ball, lagori and tug of war were held. Around 11 teams’ participated in cricket with enthusiasm. The event was sponsored by various industries. Shri. Basheer Harladka coordinated the sports day with the support of the alumni team. The event ended with a vote of thanks proposed by Shri. Mohan Naik.
