DEMONSTRAION ON THIN LAYER CHROMATOGRAPHY

The Post Graduate Department of Criminology and Forensic Science had organized a practical demonstrative session on ‘Thin Layer Chromatography(TLC)-Ink Analysis’ for the second year students of MSc CFS, Questioned Document and Impression Evidence specialization on 12th August 2021.

The Resource Person for the day was Dr. Vishnu Karthik, Assistant Professor, Mary Matha College of Arts and Science, Tamil Nadu and an Alumnus of the institution. As a part of curriculum under Forensic Analysis of Questioned Documents, he explained the principles of TLC and procedure followed in the Forensic Science Laboratory for the analysis of Ink found on the various suspected documents. Further, practical demonstration and hands-on-experience is provided to each students of the specialization.
