Forensis Forum of the Post Graduate Department of Criminology and Forensic Science had organized ‘Skit Competition: Enhancing Creativity and Talent’ on 1st September 2023 at 3.15 pm in the PG Department of CFS. The main purpose of this activity was to give an opportunity for the interaction, to promote teamwork between Juniors and Seniors, to boost confidence, communication skills and to showcase talent. The students were divided into 5 groups consisting of both first and second years, each group was given a topic relevant to the field such as Prevention of Sexual Harassment in Workplace, Cyber Crime, Motor Vehicle Act, Substance Abuse and Child Labour.
Students were asked to cover the important elements such as the concept, causes, impact, laws and preventive measures on the topic provided while performing. The freshers were asked to lead the group in order to develop their leadership qualities. The activity was judged on the basis of creativity, time management, concept and acting skills by the faculties of the department Mr. Roshan D’Souza, Mr. Niketh PS and Ms. Athira VJ.

The first place was won by Group No. 2 led by Mr. Santhosh Praburaj A, second place by Group No.1 led by Ms. Lois M Girish and third place was won by Group No. 3 led by Ms. Feba Shamma R. Students were appreciated for their efforts for putting up best performance within the prescribed time limit. The judges expressed their satisfaction over the performance of all the students for their active participation and interest. They also advised and provided points for the improvements useful for the future events.

Students stated that the competition gave them a chance to engage with one another, get to know each other, improve their leadership and communication abilities to showcase their talents. The activity was conducted under the guidance of Ms. Athira VJ, Faculty Co-ordinator of Forensis Forum. Ms. Nashwa Iqbal, secretary of Forensis Forum had taken initiative to conduct the activity. The activity concluded at 4.30 pm with the vote of thanks. Altogether, 36 students and 3 faculties were present during the activity.
