The Post Graduate Department of Criminology and Forensic Science had organized a farewell Program for the outgoing batch of 2022-2024 with the theme ‘THE GRAND SENIORS GALA’ on 3rd May 2024 at 10.00am in the Maria Paiva Hall of the college.
The first-year students of the Department began the program with a prayer song. The program also consisted of cultural events. There were activities conducted for the second-year students for which students were divided into 2 teams. During the activity seniors were able to memorize their cherished moments in the college campus. Teams were also engaged in various games, and to express their bonding with each other. Later a series of videos were played that recollected the memorable moments of the outgoing students in the department.
Further, students expressed their views and learning experiences in the institution, and shared their memorable days spent with teachers, juniors and non-teaching staff of the college. Dr. Saritha D’Souza, Head of the Post Graduate Department of Criminology and Forensic Science, awarded the winners of maximum use of Library hours presented by the Library department both offline and online access by students for the academic year 2023-2024. She also handed over the badges of the FAARM (Forensic Alumni Association Roshni, Mangaluru) to each student and felicitated them as alumni and addressed on the occasion wishing the students to fly with open wings and to make the Alma matter proud.
The faculties of the department Mr. Roshan D’Souza, Mr. Niketh P S, Ms. Athira V J handed over personalized gifts to the outgoing-students as a token of appreciation. The program concluded with vote of thank, Group photograph and fellowship meal. Altogether, 37 students, 4 teaching and one non-teaching faculty of the college were present on this occasion. The first year students of the department Ms. Jyothy Prasannan, delivered the vote of thanks, Ms. Fathima Farasath, compered the whole events smoothly and Ms.Vedhaashini S Gowda, media coordinator of the department compiled the report.
