A workshop on “Parent Management Training" was organised by the department of M.Sc. Counselling in association with IQAC, School of Social work, Roshni Nilaya on 14-09-2023.
The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Deepa Kotari, Assistant Professor in Psychology, YIASCM (A unit of Yenepoya Deemed to be University) Kulur Mangalore.
The M.C for the workshop Ms. Navaneesha Rajesh, 2nd M.Sc. Counselling. Sr. Leena and group evoked the presence of God through prayer song and introduction of the speaker was given by Ms. Lizele Dsouza, 2nd M.Sc. Counselling.
The objective of the workshop was to educate on effectiveness of Parent Management Training and to implement the techniques behaviour therapy while working with parents. 40 participants including counsellors from other institutions too actively participated in the workshop. The workshop was a hands-on training experience in working with parents with role play, worksheets, case analysis and discussions.
