The students of 2nd Year MSc Counselling conducted an outreach programme on the topic of Wellbeing, as a part of psychoeducation on 20th February 2024. The session was addressed to the 40 women of Self-Help Group of Madame, Bantwal taluk The aim of the session was to improve their subjective well-being.
The session began at 10:30 am. The members involved women of all age group. The session one included orientation to the programme and circulating of questionnaire regarding general wellbeing. Second session was focused on the physical aspect of well-being where women were educated about importance of having good physical health and how they can maintain it. Third session focused on the emotional aspect of well-being where women were educated on types of emotions, how they can have an emotional balance and the skills required to express emotions in an effective way. The final session aimed at educating them about social well-being. Techniques to explore their social support was taught through various activities and exercises.
The women involved themselves actively in all the sessions. They were able to gain insight on their subjective wellbeing, learn ways to promote their physical health, expand their social well-being and learn various skills to enhance their emotional wellbeing.
