Report by Adiba Mehak of I Msc. Counselling
A capacity enhancement programme was organized by the department of MSc Counselling on becoming a counsellor for 23 first year students of SSW Roshni Nilaya. The session was led by Ms. Radhika A Nayak, a student counsellor of Lady Hill Victoria school Mangalore. It commenced at 9.45am on the 18th of July, 2024.
The programme was very apt and gave us an insight into the future of how a counsellor should portray themselves and the challenges that are in need for tackling. The session was encompassed with few ice breaking activities that encouraged the students to be more interactive and other activities that helped the students grasp the content of the session better and fun to learn.
The session was concluded at 11:45 am with the resource person emphasizing on the qualifications of a budding counsellor.
