PG Department of social work, 1st year MSW students organised “Thematic Presentation” as part of the forum activity on 26th April 2023 from 3:30pm to 4:30pm in Maria Paiva Hall. The theme of the presentation was “Heat Wave”.

The programme started with the prayer song led by Ms. Brinda & team. After the Welcome note and theme of the presentation was introduced by Ms. Jeslin . Mr. Shreyas briefed about the Introduction, meaning and causes of the heat wave.

Through a meaningful skit, the facilitators were able to bring out causes, problems and the impact of heat wave .The skit was concluded with the resolution to be taken in order to preserve the environment. It was followed by video presentation highlighting the danger ahead with the heat wave ,the root causes of the heat wave ,who is responsible and how to deficit heat wave and giving the message on how to save the environment by planting 1 million trees. Immediately after the video presentation, through the PowerPoint students pointed out various precautions one need to take to reduce heat waves. Ms.Merlin summarised the entire presentation.

Msc criminology student Ms.Nikitha, Prof.Jinsa Joseph welfare officer and Prof.Evelyn Bennis HOD of MSW department gave their feedback on the over all resentation. The presentation was highly applauded by the audience . Ms. Meghashree proposed the vote of thanks. The programme concluded with the National Anthem. A total of 150 members including students and PG dept Faculty were present for the programme.
