The School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, organized a two-day retreat for its Catholic students on September 3-4, 2024, at the college auditorium. The retreat, led by Fr. Manu Matthew and supported by college staff and Jesus Youth volunteers, aimed to deepen the students' relationship with God.
The retreat focused on God's forgiving and accepting nature, emphasizing the importance of confession and repentance. Fr. Matthew encouraged students to shed feelings of unworthiness and embrace the gift of confession. The event featured action songs, interactive activities, and Mass on both days. The sacrament of confession was held on the first day, followed by Eucharist.
On the second day, adoration and exposition of the Blessed Sacrament guided participants in prayer. Each student received a letter with comforting Bible verses to draw strength from during challenging times.
By the retreat's conclusion, participants gained a renewed perspective on building their relationship with God, leaving with a sense of spiritual rejuvenation and connection.
