· Department of Criminology organized an Inter-class collage Competition on the topic ‘Prevention of Drug Abuse’ for the students of B.A and B.S.Won 11th July 2015 at 9:00a.m. in M.Sc Criminology & Forensic Science Hall, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangalore.
· Guest lecture was organized by the Department of Criminology for I BA students in the month of July, 2015 on the topic “Crimes by Women” and “Crimes Against women”, Ms. Rosamma, alumna, Tata Institute of Social Science was the resource person.
· Department of Criminology in collaboration with PG Department of Criminology and Forensic Science had organized interaction programme for UG & PG students of Criminology and Forensic Science on 16th July 2015 at 03:30p.m. in the Seminar Hall, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangalore.
· Department of Criminology in collaboration with Socio-Economic Forum & RD Forum organized an interaction session for UG students on the topic ‘Anti Pollution drive’ on 21st July 2015 in the college auditorium.
· Department of Criminology in collaboration with Regional Forensic Science Laboratory (RFSL) Mangaluru organized one day workshop on Crime Scene Management on 23rd July 2015.Thirteen students of final year B.A. along with Ms. Swathi. D attended the session at Regional Forensic Science Laboratory (RFSL) Kuntikana, Mangaluru.
· Department of Criminology in collaboration with Psy forum organized a guest lecture for final year B.A. students on the topic ‘Relevance of Forensic Science’ on 24th July, 2015 Dr. T.S.Kenchappa, Rtd. Deputy Director was the resource person.
· Guest lecture has been organized by the Department of Criminology on the topics “Voice Analysis” for final year BA students on 24th July, 2015. Mr. Don Mathew Caeiro, Lecturer of Forensic Science, Jain University, Bengaluru was the resource person.
· Department of Criminology in collaboration with PG Department of Criminology and Forensic Science organized a felicitation programme for Dr. Shankeshwar and interaction programme with Colonel Uday Shankeshwar for UG and PG Students, on 30th July 2015 at 3:30p.m. in Seminar Hall, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangaluru.
· Department of Criminology organized an inter-class Drawing Competition on the topic ‘Causes of Drug Abuse’ for the students of B.A and B.S.Won 27th July 2015 at 03:30p.m. in the Criminology class Room, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangalore.
· The Department of Criminology conducted an essay competition on “Farmers Suicide is there a solution” for all B.A /B.S. W. students of our college on31st July 2015
· Final Year B.A. Criminology students accompanied by Staff visited District Arm Reserve, Pandeshwar, Mangaluru on 14th September 2015
· The Department of Criminology and Forensic Science, School of Social Work, Mangaluru in collaboration with Dakshina Kannada Police organized a “Forensic Science Exhibition” and workshop on the topic “Drug Abuse Among Children” on 18th September 2015 from 9.30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Maria Paiva Hall of the college for the High school teachers of Dakshina Kannada District. Sri Amrit Paul, IPS, IGP Western Range was inaugurator & Chief Guest. Guest of honour Dr. Sharanappa S. D., IPS, Superintendent of Police, D. K. District, released the News Letter “Crime Reflection. Sri Walter H. D’Mello. DDPU Dakshina Kannada District was the Guest of Honour.
· Final Year B.A. Criminology students accompanied by Staff visited Urwa police station, Mangaluru on 22th September 2015 to know the functioning of the police station
· The department of Criminology had organized Forensic Science Exhibition for the Journalism students of Norway at Criminology and Forensic Science Hall on 04th October 2015.
· On the occasion of Crime Prevention Week 2015, Crimino Vision 2015- Department of Criminology & Forensic science, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangaluru in collaboration with Mangalore City Commissionerate of Police organized a inter - collegiate paper presentation on the topic “Youth in Prevention of Cyber Crime” held on Tuesday, 8th December, 2015 at 2.00 p.m. Dr. Sanjeev M. Patil., DCP, Crime and Traffic, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mangaluru City Inaugurated the programme and Sri. R.R. Kalyan Shetty ACP., South Sub Division was the Guest of Honour.Dr Laxminarayana Bhat, Registrar of School of Social Work, presided over the programme. Twelve papers were presented by students of various colleges on the topic. The participants also shared their experiences about cyber crimes.
