 Objective:             To expose students to the practice of Yoga for better

mental and physical health on the occasion of World  Yoga Day

3.   Movie Screening and Review: To Kill a Mocking Bird

 Objective:  To review the movie and compare it to the Novel prescribed for study

Outcome: It helped students to get a glimpse of the Western World

and Society and place the Novel in context.

 

 4. Trekking to  Agumbe

 Organised by:  Department of English &Youth Hostel of India( M’lore Chapter)

 Topic:      Tryst with Nature- Monsoon Trek to Agumbe

 Date:         19/7/2015. Participants: 40(17 students of the college)

 Duration:                       One day

 Objective:        To expose students to adventure and spend time with

                              pristine nature /build fellowship and rapport

 Outcome:         Students enjoyed trekking on the ghats in the rain and

 making new friends

 Objective: To view and review movies in order to promote critical and creative thinking and writing.

 Outcome: Social sensitivity was brought out. Useful discussion was brought out. The students were able to analyse and review the movie creatively.

    Objective: To acknowledge and honourMs.Sunitha Krishnan for her work   and appreciate our Alumnus for her work.

 Outcome: The programme was much appreciated and a fruitful discussion on trafficking and sexual harassment took place.

 Objective : To participate to understand and dialogue on issues related to Human Rights Education.

 Outcome : Faculty of the Department of English was the master of ceremonies and the faculty interacted in the sessions.

 Objective: To provide assistance to other departments and appreciate culture.

 Outcome:  It was an enjoyable inter-collegiate event and a cultural bonanza.

Objective :  To orient students towards Research and guide them to attempt minor surveys and research projects.
