School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangaluru, BSW Department, NSS Unit in association with Lions Club and Leo Club Mangalore- District 317 D organized Swachatha Divas in commemoration of Gandhi Jayanthi on 2nd October 2021. Assoc. Prof. Vineetha K , HOD, BSW Department and Registrar (Evaluation) spoke about the importance of the day and welcomed the dignitaries.
Swachatha Divas was inaugurated by Lion B Sathish Rai, President, Lions Club, Mangalore by distributing the materials needed for the Shramadaan. Lion Sathish Rai spoke about the importance of cleanliness of our surrounding in his inaugural address.

Dr Juliet C J , Principal of School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya and the Chief Guest of the day thanked the Lions Club and Leo Club Mangalore for their collaboration and expressed desire to be partners in service activities in the future too.
Lion Shekhar Poojary, Zone Chairman appreciated the partnership in service project.
Lion Supreetha G Shetty, Secretary , Lions Club, Mangalore spoke about the initiates of Lions Club towards Clean and Green Mangaluru.
Dr Jenis Mary, Vice Principal of the college thanked the organizing team for the efforts towards Clean Mangaluru.
Leo President, Leo Leann, thanked everyone for their cooperation and guidance.
Swachatha pledge was read by Assoc. Prof. Vineetha K. Volunteers were divided into groups. Volunteers along with Lions and Leo Club members headed towards Shramadaan upto Nandigudda Circle on the left hand side of the College and upto Valencia Park on the right hand side. Volunteers also cleaned the College Campus. She thanked Lions Club and Leo Club, Mangalore for their support, Faculty and students of BSW Department and NSS Officers and Volunteers, Organizing Committee members- Vishnu 3rd BSW , Sidhrah Ali Khan 3rd BSW, Zainab 2nd BSW for their participation and cooperation. Asst Prof. Veena handed over the mementos to the guests and Asst. Prof Shoba, guided the Volunteers in their work. Program ended with the National Anthem.
