Personality development program was organised on July 16, 2024, in the College auditorium for first-year BA and BCom students.

The first session, conducted by Mr. Rohan Dais, Assistant professor Department of Psychology, School of Social Work. He focused on the theme "Never Give Up." He began with an engaging activity designed to help students get to know each other, fostering a sense of community. Mr. Dais discussed the common reasons people give up, such as negative peer pressure, fear of failure, and low self-esteem. He emphasized that students should strive to stand out rather than conform, and shared inspirational stories of resilience, citing the perseverance of notable figures like Amitabh Bachchan and Mary Kom. Through interactive games, he reinforced the idea that challenges are a necessary part of growth, likening students to pencils that require sharpening to leave a mark, with teachers acting as erasers to help them correct their mistakes.

Ms. Sonal Poojary, Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology, School of Social Work, facilitated a session on the crucial topic of "Confidence." Drawing from her own experiences of struggling with and ultimately overcoming a lack of confidence, she aimed to make her message relatable to the students. Ms. Poojary introduced techniques such as self-affirmations and positive self-talk, and explained their practical applications in daily life. She identified three primary reasons for low self-confidence: negative life experiences, guilt over past mistakes, and the tendency to compare oneself to others. She highlighted how comparison, starting from a very young age, can significantly undermine one's confidence. Ms. Poojary concluded her session with an encouraging message, reminding students that "Life is beautiful, keep your smile alive." 56 first year students participated in the session
