Youth Red Cross Events

Centre for Environmental Education (CEE), UNICEF, Youth Red Cross & Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya organized five days Students’ Orientation Programme On Sustainability Skills Enhancement Initiative for UG- BA, BSW and PG- MSW students from 27th March 2023 to 31st March 2023 at 9:30 am to 4:30 pm in the College Auditorium. A total of 317 students participated in the event. The inaugural programme started with Prayer by Ms Angel Binu Inchakkal, YRC Volunteer. Ms Aysha Amana, YRC volunteer, welcomed the gathering. Prof. Vineetha K, Registrar (Evaluation), School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya inaugurated the Students’ Orientation Programme. Associate Professor Cecilia Farida Goveas IQAC Coordinator, Assistant Professor Veena B. K, BSW Department, and Ms Sarik Ankitha Dean of Student Progression graced the occasion with their presence. The Resource person Ms Anusuya Kamath YRC Programme Officer gave training on Climate Change and the contribution towards Environmental Sustainability. She conducted the programme through various methods such as Lecture, Group activity, Chart Preparation and video on carbon footprint. Ms Aysha Amana, a YRC volunteer was the MC of the programme.

On 31st March 2023, there was a Students’ Orientation valedictory Programme on Sustainability Skills Enhancement Initiative held at 4:00 pm in the college auditorium. The programme began with seeking God’s blessing by Ms Lilita and the team, I BSW. Ms Spoorthi I BSW student welcomed the gathering. Prof. Vineetha K, Registrar (Evaluation), School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya addressed the gathering and motivated the students to practice eco-friendly activities to retain the future generation. Dr Jenis Mary, Vice Principal gave the presidential address. Assistant Professor Veena B. K, BSW Department and Ms Anusuya Kamath YRC Programme Officer graced the occasion with their presence. Ms Khathija Mehtha YRC volunteer was the MC for the programme.
