Youth Red Cross Events

Twelve Youth Red Cross Volunteers from the School of Social Work Roshni Nilaya successfully completed their internship at Wenlock District Hospital in Mangaluru from June 24 to June 29, 2024, as part of the Service Extension Programme. Under the supervision of Mr. Ravindra, who oversaw their activities, the interns were engaged in various tasks throughout the week. These included OPD registration, front-line service, assisting in the child ward, issuing Disability Certificates, E.C.G. monitoring, and wound dressing. Their duties extended to patient registration, supporting nurses, and providing guidance to visitors. Additionally, the hospital features a community library where YRC volunteers rotate to distribute reading materials to patients across different wards.
