Ten Youth Red Cross Volunteers from the School of Social Work Roshni Nilaya successfully completed their internship at Wenlock District Hospital in Mangaluru from July 28 to August 5, 2023, as part of the Service Extension Programme. Guided by Mr. Ravindra, the hospital's supervisor, the interns were assigned various tasks and received instructions over eight consecutive days. Their responsibilities included OPD registration, front-line service, assistance in the child ward, issuing Disability Certificates, E.C.G monitoring, and wound dressing. The interns were involved in patient registration, assisting nurses, and providing guidance to visitors. Additionally, the hospital hosts a community library where YRC volunteers take turns distributing reading materials to patients across different wards.
