The Psycho-education progamme on ‘Team Building’ was conducted on 20th May 2021 for 11 cricket trainee players from Malabar badminton academy. The aim of the Psycho-education programme was to create awareness on social transactions of the participants and educate them about effective team building. The facilitators maintained good rapport with the participants and maintained cordial relationships which included constant dialogue between the participants and themselves. The session was in virtual mode thus the active participation was noted through responses recorded in the chat box and dialogue with participants by unmuting themselves. Throughout the session the participants showed keen interest by involving in all the exercises conducted by the facilitators. The content was thoroughly communicated and explained to the participants, their interactions showed how beneficial the session had been and they provided positive feedback showing immense gratitude for conducting the session. A request for future sessions was also noted.
The session helped the participants learn effective team building skills, understand roles, become aware of the power of strokes which can help achieve higher levels of motivation & work output, analyse ego state within and explore working styles. It helped them to build a team that is more efficient and also proactive whilst achieving easy cohesion that leads to goal & their target fulfilment.
