The Department of M.Sc. Counselling of school of social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangalore organised a 4 hour session on the topic “Nurturing social relationships' '. The session was organized at PA first grade College, Konaje, Facilitated by Mariyam Lishana, PM Awwamma Jusaira,Adarsh MV, Saphia Bustan,II MSc Counseling students on 18th May, 2023 from 9:30 - 12:30 and 1:30-2:30. There were 23 participants from 2nd year BBA and BCA

The objective of the session was to assess participant’s building skills towards positive relationships among peers, developing the attitude of gratitude among the participants, and to equip the participants with skills of compassion and altruism.

The facilitators conducted an assessment to determine the amount of participants' acts of altruism, compassion, gratitude and positive relationships.The facilitators taught the participants how to practice mindfulness, empathy, gratitude, and ways to communicate thanks to others, as well as how to engage in enjoyable activities and learn techniques to increase altruism. Effective group formation challenges and solutions, as well as teamwork abilities that are crucial for academic and professional success. The group members could relate to the information offered and shared their personal experiences. The session's outcome was that the participants realized the need of maintaining positive relationships in their own lives and discovered how to cultivate gratitude, altruism, and compassion.
