An extension program was conducted by the Department of MSc Counselling, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangalore. The session, focusing on planning and prioritizing, took place at the Association of People with Disability, Ullal, Mangalore. Nine second-year MSc Counselling students facilitated the session on October 10th, 2024, from 2 pm to 3 pm, with 15 members participating.

The session's objective was to emphasize the importance of planning and prioritizing and equip members with relevant techniques. It began with an icebreaker activity to foster group cohesion, followed by guidelines on confidentiality, mutual respect, and expectations.

Through role-plays and the matrix model (high priority/high urgency, high priority/low urgency, low priority/high urgency, low priority/low urgency), participants learned skills to plan and prioritize tasks and goals in daily life. Additional techniques were taught to enhance day-to-day planning and prioritization. The session concluded with participant feedback, providing valuable insight into applying planning and prioritizing concepts in everyday life.
