FDP

A FDP on smart governance was organised on Friday 3rd February 2023 in the Auditorium from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm. The resource person for the FDP was Dr. Kiran Prasad B, Dean Administration and UUCMS nodal officer, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya. The FPD began with a prayer and introduction of the resource person by IQAC coordinator Assoc. Prof Cecilia F Goveas. After which Dr. Kiran took over the session. He started with introducing to the participants what is smart governance and how Unified University College Management System (UUCMS) is going to help in digitizing the admission, academics and examination process. This is a flagship project envisioned by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Karnataka for the functioning and the governance of all colleges and public universities in the state bringing all of them under one umbrella. He explained about the importance of UUCMS that helps to centralize the data and make it available online. Dr. Kiran spoke about the importance of UUCMS from the point of view of the students. He said that UUCMS will allow the students eventually to access their results and certificates online through the Academic Bank of Credits. Dr. Kiran gave ideas to the faculty on how to go about setting up the UUCMS for the mapping of different aspects of UUCMS. He showed some demo videos to the faculty to get a better understanding of the functioning of UUCMS. The session ended with Dr. Sandra S Lobo, NAAC coordinator of the college proposing the vote of thanks.A total of 24 faculty members participated in this FDP.
