As a part of Forensis Forum activity, the Post Graduate Department of Criminology and Forensic Science had organised an activity ‘Guess Who’- A Deductive Reasoning Activity’ for the second year students of both Questioned Documents and Impression Evidences (QDIE) & Forensic Psychology and Criminal Justice (FPCJ) Specializations on 11th August 2023 at 3.30 pm in the PG Department of CFS. The main objective of the activity was to enhance the reasoning, observation and people-reading skills of the students.
The students were made to sit in a circle and each student was provided with chits containing words related to the field, popular movies, names of the famous personalities etc. Each student was asked to guess the word given to them by asking the questions to the other students where they had to reply with ‘yes’ or ‘no’. Students who guessed more number of words were declared as the winners.
Ms. Pratibha K, Ms. Manisha Riya Baretto, Mr. Prajwal K B, Mr. Vishnu Prasad and Mr. Anees were declared as the winners of the activity by guessing three words respectively. The activity was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Saritha D’Souza, Head of the Department and Mr. Niketh P S. Faculty Co-ordinator of Forensis Forum. Mr. Niketh congratulated the winners and appreciated the students for their enthusiastic participation in the activity. Students expressed that the activity helped them to improve their thinking ability and observation skills. Altogether, 15 students and 3 faculties were part of this event. Second year students of the department Ms. Aishwarya Sathya, President, Forensis Forum took the initiative to conduct the activity and Ms. Joythsna, Media coordinator drafted the report of the event.
