The Post Graduate Department of Criminology and Forensic Science in association with Forensic Alumni Association Roshni Mangaluru (FAARM) had organized the Third lecture of “Series of Guest Lecture by Alumni” on the topic Narco-analysis for the second-year students of MSc Criminology and Forensic Science specializing in Forensic Psychology and Criminal Justice on 29 August 2024 in the PG Department of Criminology and Forensic Science. Ms. Rashmi Shenoy, Assistant Professor of Forensic Science, Institute of Allied Health Sciences, Srinivas University, Mukka, Mangaluru was the resource person. Mr. Niketh P. S, Assistant Professor introduced Ms. Rashmi and explained the purpose of organizing the lecture. Ms. Rashmi began the session by discussing the history of narco-analysis, drugs used during the test and the important things that should be involved during the narco-analysis test. She also explained the procedure of Narco- Analysis along with the precautions that has to be taken. Ms. Rashmi concluded the lecture by discussing educational pathways and career opportunities in the field of Forensic Psychology and Forensic Science in general, encouraging the students to consider these fields for further studies,
The interactive nature of the lecture, with enthusiastic student participation and questions, underscored the success of the day’s learning experience. Altogether there were six students, and the lecture ended with a vote of thanks by second year MSc Criminology and Forensic Science student Ms. Shravya S Rai.
