The Post Graduate Department of Criminology and Forensic Science had organized ‘Bem-Vindo’- an orientation program for first year students on 16th July 2024 at 10 am in the PG Department of CFS. The objectives of the activity were to build rapport between the seniors and juniors, to help in promoting teamwork and good communication between the students.

The event began with the self-introduction of second-year students including the faculties of the department. Further, the first- and second-year students were divided into four groups for the team activity “A Word Game” in which each group members had to identify the word based on hints from other members in their own group. The next activity was ‘A Hangman Game’, in which team members had to fill in the missing letters in words to form a meaningful sentence. Thereafter, each group is provided with a topic relevant to the field and was asked to create a humorous skit. Team was given an hour for the practice and the skit was performed creatively with the active participation of all the members of the group. The faculty of the department Dr. Saritha D’Souza, Mr. Niketh P.S. and Ms. Nashwa Iqbal were the judges. The final activity held was ‘Reverse Charades’, students were instructed to act the word one by one, with the last student being required to divulge the word.

Dr. Saritha D'Souza, Head, PG Department of CFS introduced the representation of Student Council of PG program and the office bearers of Forensis Forum 2024-25. The students expressed that the event was well organized and it created a positive atmosphere among the students to interact, work in unity as well. The event was facilitated by Ms. Nicole Mendonca, General Secretary, PG Student Council, Ms. Vedhaashini S Gowda, President, Forensis Forum, and Ms. Feba Shamma, Secretory, Forensis Forum. The programme concluded at 4:30 pm.  Altogether, 30 students and 4 faculties were present on this occasion.
