An extension program was organized by Department of MSc counselling , School of Social Work Roshni Nilaya, Mangalore, at St. Raymond’s institution Vamanjoor, Mangalore .

The session was facilitated by 27 students of second year MSc Counselling on August 16th 2024 from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm for about 200 participants from the L.P and U.P section.

The objective of the session was, to create awareness about what types of learners they are, to make them understand about different study techniques, to help members promote a regular study routine.

The group session started with an ice breaker and then the topic of the day was introduced. Then moved on to learning style and action which refers to the exercise called study magic collection it includes ; mind map magic, key chunks, discussion dominoes. Then the session moved on to behavioral activation and one last study skill, called bingo. The session was well received by the students as they got a chance to learn some study techniques which they could make use of, in academic areas of learning. The session was concluded with a summary regarding the topic and feedback from the students. It was a great opportunity for the students to learn techniques to enhance their study skills and further work to achieve their academic goals.
