AICUF - Events / News

Three students from School of Social Work , Roshni Nilaya attended the RURAL STATE AICUF CAMP at Raichur, Manvi, from 4th to 7th December respectively. The participants were headed by Father Joy who followed by 5 animators and 7 leaders. The Inaugural Programme began with a mass in the chapel right next to their stay. Later on they were briefed about the rules for the camp and a quick introduction session took place with everyone together including the animators . Participants were then divided into their respective groups and told their schedules as well . Each College had to put up a Cultural Programme. Participants headed for dinner and then headed to their own rooms.

December 5th 2019: Participants had to attend an early morning holy hour followed by mass and started off with their field work in their respective groups across cotton and corn fields. Some groups also had the opportunity of being taken on a bullock Cart . The afternoon sessions were educational sessions and they were about the history of AICUF , followed by debate and quiz group wise. That evening they were assigned to go for home visits where they actually saw the rural life and got to interact with each household. Later they participated in group wise games and a meaning to their group depicted on a chart.

December 6th 2019: Participants had to get up early for jogging and morning excercises . Followed by their breakfast and off for field work here location for groups were swooped in each way that every group did the same kind of work but on different days. After lunch they were addressed by the founder of loyala college Manvi Father Anil , who inspired them truly. They then were put into groups again and had outdoor physical games . As it was a Friday they had adoration and mass followed and each unit programme followed at the steps of the church . One of the villagers' son celebrated his birthday and participants were invited their for dinner.

To join in solemnity the participants with diyas (lantern), with their respected groups formed the word AICUF , followed by a lovely bonfire where each participant had to share their experience.
 
December 7th 2019:The last day of Aicuf rural camp participants had field work following their breakfast and their valedictory ceremony and group results were said out. After lunch participants headed to loyala college Manvi to witness a feel of the college. Father Anil took participants around the campus and they were given tea as well as dinner and headed straight to station by the college bus.
It was a great exposure for all the participants and a wonderful experience
