World AIDS Day observed annually on 1st December 2023, serves as a global reminder of the ongoing battle against HIV/ AIDS. This day is a reminder of both the progress made and the challenges that persist. The theme of World AIDS Day evolves each year and the theme for World AIDS Day 2023 is ' Let Communities lead'.
BSW Department of School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya in association with IQAC jointly organized World AIDS Day on 1st December 2023.
Assoc. Prof. Vineetha briefed the students on HIV/ AIDS, Agent, Symptoms, Mode of Transmission, Misconceptions, Preventive Measures and about the Government Support System available for infected.
Mobile status update became a powerful tool for Advocacy, wherein digital movement allowed students and Faculty to share information, encourage discussions and foster a sense of unity in the fight against HIV/ AIDS.
A Quiz was conducted by Asso.Prof. Vineetha on HIV/ AIDS and students actively participated. The winners are as follows:

Guidelines were given on the outreach programme' Each One Educate One' by selecting four spots for Health Education. Students enthusiastically visited

(2) KSRTC Bus Stand, Bejai
(3) State Bank Bus Stand
(4) Valencia area, around the College
This one-to-one interaction outreach Programme was instrumental in highlighting the importance of Community engagement to foster a supportive environment and to promote broader understanding of the pandemic.
Asst. Prof. Veena and Asst. Prof. Anusuya were the Judges for the Quiz Competition and Ninety BSW students actively participated.
