With a commitment to environmental sustainability by contributing towards waste reduction and promoting reuse of materials, BSW Department and Department of Rural Development jointly organized a Demonstration- Waste to Wonder Bench on Saturday 25th November 2023 in front of the Auditorium at Roshni Nilaya campus. Abhishek, first year Rural Development Student from BA welcomed the gathering and introduced the purpose of the gathering. An eco-brick is a building block made by inserting clean, dry and non-biodegradable plastic bag waste into a strong used plastic bottle. The tightly packed bottles can be used as bricks in various construction projects, promoting waste reduction and creating affordable structures, said Asso.Prof. Vineetha, HoD of BSW Department. A visual presentation was arranged to illustrate the practical aspects and benefits. Kushi, first year Rural Development Student proposed the vote of thanks. Sixty students, HoD, Department of Rural Development Asst. Prof. Colin D ' Souza, IQAC Co -Ordinator, Assoc. Prof. Cecilia Farida Goveas, Faculty of BSW Department Asst. Prof. Veena B K, Asst. Prof. Anusuya Kamath and other Faculty from BA were present.
