On October 10, 2024 SAHAYOG Forum & IQAC of School of Social Work Roshni Nilaya organized an exposure visit at De Merced Children's Home in Deralakatte, Mangaluru to Celebrate Mental Health Day. The initiative aimed to engage the children in enjoyable, need-based activities that fostered mental well-being and social interaction. The program began with a welcome speech by Mrs. Anusuya Kamath. Field Work Coordinator, following this, the workers and co-workers led a series of interactive games and mindfulness exercises, specially designed to suit the children's interests. These activities encouraged self-expression, teamwork, and relaxation, offering a much-needed break from their daily routines. The day concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks from II BSW Alvita, who expressed gratitude to all the workers, co-workers, and participants for their enthusiasm and dedication to the children's mental health. Assistant Professor Mrs. Deepika Sanil accompanied the students. A total of 45 students participated in this program.
