The Socio- Economics Forum organised a study tour to Puducherry for the final year students from November 24th to November 29th 2019.

The Students visited many historical places of attraction - Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Sacred Heart Basilica, Our Lady of Angels Church , the French Colony , which depicts the beautiful French Architecture . They also visited Panchamukha Sri Hanuman temple , Philately exhibition on the life and works of Mahatma Gandhi .

The main attraction of the tour was visit to the experimental township in Viluppuram Auro Ville Matri Mandir and the beautiful temples and monuments at Mamallapuram built by the Pallava dynasty in the 7 th and the 8 th ,centuries .

The Students had an exposure visit to the small scale industries in the Auro Ville Industrial area .

They visited Windarra Spirulina industry where high Quality sun dried Spirulina rich in protein using sustainable and Eco-friendly technology is produced .

They also visited Eco Femme industry where reusable washable cloth pads are produced .The Students were informed about why the switch over was done to washable Eco friendly cloth pads . Eco femme industry makes use of local resources with priority to Women Empowerment.

Students had an opportunity also to visit Svaram musical instruments and Research Centre where variety of musical instruments are bieng manufactured .

The Students had an insight about the operations , management and functions of Small Scale Industry which are export oriented in nature .
