On the occasion of 65th Kannada Rajyotsava, Kannada Department of School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangaluru hosted a ‘Special Lecture’ on November 2nd, 2022. The Chief guest for the day was Dr.Manjunath.M.M, Assistant Professor in Kannada,Govt First Grade Womens College Balmatta Mangaluru. The programme started with a prayer led by I BSW students. After the prayer Mr. Obanath, Head of Kannada department briefed us about the significance of the day.

The resource person Dr. Manjunath. M. M. Gave special lecture on “Competitive examination and Kannada Literature”. He shared his immense knowledge about the Competitive Exams, how to appear in Competative Exams and special note on Kannada literature. This was followed by a felicitation ceremony for the chief guest, by the newly elected President Ms. Shivani. S II B.A and the Vice President T.V Spandana II B.S.W of "Hombelaku Kannada Sangha 2022-23". The President of the programme Ms.Eveleen Benis, Secretary, Institute of Social Service, gave a speech that expressed her love for Kannada language.

Navya of 1st BA welcomed the gathering and Shambhavi Shetty of 1st BA delivered the vote of thanks. Nuha Rukhiya of 2nd BA was the compered the program.
