The School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, in collaboration with the PG Departments, Women’s Cell and IQAC, celebrated Women’s Day on March 8, 2025, with an insightful session on "Empowering Women through Legal Literacy."
The session, held at Maria Paiva Hall at 10:00 AM, featured Mr. Nikesh Shetty, Advocate, as the resource person. He emphasized the importance of legal awareness in fostering women's empowerment and self-reliance.
The event was graced by Mr. Nikesh Shetty, Advocate, Dr. Meena Monterio (Dean, PG Department), Dr. Saritha D’Souza (IQAC Coordinator), and Ms. Anusuya Kamath (Chairperson, Women’s Cell). A total of 80 participants actively engaged in the session, benefiting from the valuable insights shared.
The program was skillfully compered by Ms. Sharon Diaz, a student of I MSW. The event successfully reinforced the institution’s commitment to empowering women through knowledge and awareness.
