Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Criminology and Forensic Science, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangaluru Mrs. Saritha D’Souza was awarded the Doctor of Philosophy Degree by Mangalore University for her Ph.D thesis. The Thesis was on ‘‘Working Conditions, Job Satisfaction and Social Life of Civil Police Constables of Dakshina Kannada District, Karnataka; A Sociological Study’, which was presented in the month of May 2019. She received her Ph.D award
from honourable Vice-Chancellor of the University Dr. Palale Subrahmanya Yadapadithaya on the 38 th Convocation held at Mangala Auditorium of Mangalagangothri Campus, Konaje, Mangaluru on 27 th February 2020. She was successfully guided by Professor (Dr.) Jogan Shankar, Vice-Chancellor(then), Kuvempu University, Jnana Sahyadri, Shankaraghatta, Shivamogga.

Dr. Saritha D’Souza enrolled for the Ph.D Program at Post-Graduate Department of Sociology, Mangalagangothri, Konaje, after successfully completing the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and National Eligibility Test for Lectureship in Criminology conducted by University Grant Commission (UGC), New Delhi in June 2010.
