The PG department of School of Social work, Roshni Nilaya in association with IQAC organised the student's day and the Ethnic day on the 13th of April 2024. The program began at 10:00 Am, the theme being Kalarav. The students were dressed in their traditional best ethnic wear made the event so much more special and colourful. The program was compered by Ms. Elizabeth Deepika Ponnuraj and Mr. Melvin Simpson.
The program began evoking God’s presence through a prayer song by MSW students after which Mr. Roshan D’Souza, the student welfare officer of the Department of MSc Criminology and Forensic Science welcomed the gathering. The event was formally inaugurated by lighting the lamp by Vice Principal Dr. Jenis Mary, the student council and the student welfare officers of three PG departments Assistant Prof. Roshan D’Souza, Assistant Prof. Jinsa Joseph and Dr. Wilsy Francis. The classical welcome dance by the CFS students set the tone for the program. There were various cultural programs initiated by the students of all the three departments. The dance performance from the faculty added colour to the entire event. They were dressed in attires from different states of India to show the spirit of unity in diversity. This was followed by a video presentation by the faculty- a compilation of all of the memories they had with the students. The final item of the event was the Spot games organised by the PG professors which the students enjoyed thoroughly. The program was concluded by vote of thanks by the convenor Ms. Sona, followed by a delicious meal that all the students relished and appreciated.
