On July 12, 2024, the SAHAYOG Forum, BSW Department, and IQAC of School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangalore, organized an impactful workshop titled "Working with Children - Identifying Issues and Navigating Resources" for the 32 Second Year BSW students. The workshop was held in room A2 at 1:30 pm.

The program began with a soulful prayer song performed by Second year BSW students Ms. Shreyashree R, Sr. Asha, and Ms. Sharanya Shetty. This was followed by a warm welcome and introduction of the resource person, Mrs. Akshaya N Bhandary, Assistant Professor, MSc Counselling, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, delivered by Asst. Prof. Anusuya Kamath.

The primary goal of the workshop was to prepare the Second year BSW Students for their roles in school agencies and to equip them with essential knowledge and skills to identify and address common issues faced by children, including behavioural, emotional, and developmental challenges.

Following an engaging Q&A session, participants provided valuable feedback on the workshop's content, format, and facilitation. The session concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Ms. Suraksha, a Second year BSW student.

The program was meticulously organized under the leadership of Asst. Prof. Veena B K, HOD of the BSW Department, with support from Asst. Prof. Anusuya Kamath, Asst. Prof. Colin D'Souza, and Asst. Prof. Deepika Sanil.

The workshop was a resounding success, providing the Second BSW students with valuable insights and practical skills to address children issues in their professional practice.
