On September 19, 2024, the SAHAYOG Forum from the BSW Department of the School of Social Work Roshni Nilaya, Mangalore, conducted an Extension Service Programme aimed at raising awareness about nutrition, health, and cleanliness. The event, held at 2:00 p.m., reached 96 primary school children from St. Mary’s Kannada Medium School, Falnir. The resource person for the programme was Mr. Sandeep Ullal, Director of Physical Education, School of Social Work Roshni Nilaya.
The primary goal of the initiative was to educate and empower both individuals and communities on the importance of balanced nutrition, personal hygiene, environmental cleanliness, and overall health practices. This initiative aims to promote healthier lifestyles and prevent common diseases. The event was organized by Ms. Shreya PS, a second-year BSW student, and Mr. Albristo, a first-year BSW student, under the supervision of Mrs. Anusuya Kamath, Field Supervisor and Assistant Professor of the BSW Department, School of Social Work Roshni Nilaya, Mangalore.
