On January 17, 2025, the SAHAYOG Forum of the BSW Department in association with Department of MSc Counselling of School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangalore, organized an Extension Service Programme titled “Digital Detox: Tracking Mobile Addiction for a Healthier Future.” The session was conducted for 18 primary students of D.K.G.P.M.H Primary School, Ullal, at 10:00 AM. Ms. Thanvira Thahir, an MSc Counseling student, served as the resource person, engaging children in interactive discussions on mindful technology use. The event was coordinated by Ms. Tanvi M, Sr. Sahaya Penciya, and Mr. Dani Sam Saji, third-year BSW students, under the guidance of Mrs. Anusuya Kamath, Assistant Professor and Field Work Supervisor in BSW Department.
The session successfully raised awareness about mobile addiction and encouraged students to adopt healthier digital habits, reinforcing SAHAYOG Forum’s commitment to social well-being.
