The Sociology - Economics forum commemorated World Alzheimer's day on Thursday , September 21, 2022 from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm by screening a documentary on Alzheimer's "Monsters in the Mind'' for the final year BA students of the forum . Assoc Prof, Ms.Cecila F Goveas briefed about World Alzheimer's day commemoration and Dr Kiran Prasad about the documentary. The documentary enabled the students to understand the origins of the research on the problem of Alzheimer's which eventually led to the development of Alzheimer associations and other support groups. It also helped in gaining information on how the disease develops and affects the elderly and the ways in which the effects of the disease can be reduced in old age as this problem does not have a cure. A total of 28 students benefited.
