"Self - Awareness": Leads to effective Leadership - Webinar by Advocate Rushilla Rebello

The Webinar on “Self Awareness” was organized by the School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya for students of I year BA /BSW on 4th January 2021 at 2.00 p.m by esteemed speaker Advocate Rushila Rebello, practising Advocate at Court-Bandra, Mumbai.

She has worked at the Supreme Court, Delhi High Court, National Consumer Redressal Commission, District Consumer Redressal Forum and the lower courts in Delhi as an advocate. She has experienced in legal consultation, drafting civil and criminal cases, filing and litigating civil and criminal cases of gross human rights violation such as gang rape, acid attack, medical negligence, dowry death, and domestic violence, disability matters at the above-mentioned courts in Delhi and experience in litigating Public Interest Litigations in the Delhi High Court.

She has conducted state-level legal training for lawyers, social activists and stake-holders.

Reflection programme for Final year BA/BSW

A reflection programme was organized for final year BA/BSW students on 21st December 2020 on the topic ‘Signs of Concentration’ by Dr E.V. Swaminathan, B. Tech Engineer, Human Resource Trainer, Counselor and Consultant with international recognition. Prof. Vineetha K, Registrar (Evaluation), School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya introduced the resource person.

Dr E.V. Swaminathan discussed the aspects of concentration and its significance. He also pointed out the importance of stress management and coping mechanisms. Certain activities related to memory power and concentration was conducted. The session helped students to get to know about various methods of improving memory and attaining inner peace.

He helped students to reflect on their feelings and draw insight into them. The session with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Tanushri Shetty of III BA programme. A virtual session was conducted via Google Meet from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
