The School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangaluru, organized a session on “Conquering Five Dangerous Trends Facing Students: Surefire Solutions to Navigate and Start a Successful Career.” This session was conducted by Mr. Puneet Suraana an Entrepreneur, Audio Producer and Host at the Galata Podcast. The Lit-Meet Forum, Socio-Economic Forum and Department of BSW joined together to organize this session at the Seminar Hall on 18th November 2023. Associate Professor Vineetha K. presided over the event. Associate Professor Cecilia Farida Goveas, IQAC Co-Ordinator, Dr Kiran Prasad, Dean Administration, Assistant Professor Vineetha Pereira, Head, Department of English, Professor Maria D’Costa, Former Head of the Department of English and Mr Brian Fernandes, Alumnus, Director of Spearhead Media Pvt. Ltd and Managing Editor of Karnataka Today were present on the dais.

In a world that is dynamic and full of challenges, Mr. Puneeth Suraana strives to help students with the challenges and frustrations that they face. He intends to help students succeed and avoid dangerous mistakes that cause them to fail. In this orientation, he led the students to address the challenges that they face with surefire solutions to navigate the hurdles to pave the way for a successful career. With a wealth of knowledge and experience, Mr Puneeth Suraana enriched and motivated the students to a better future. The experiences shared caught the audience and encouraged them to start small, stay focused and consistent. He touched on various areas that are hindrances to students and helped to face them. The stories narrated by him were interesting which helped in great learning. The students had several questions on the subject which were addressed by him systematically. The audience of around eighty students were enlightened and filled with zeal from the session.
