Sociology-Economics Forum Events

On the occasion of International Youth Day, the Sociology-Economics Forum organised an Inter – Collegiate PUC level Fest Rang Bharo ‘17 on Saturday, 12th August 2017. Various competitions such as pencil sketch, collage, patriotic singing, folk dance and culture on display took place with the broader theme of Independence Day. 13 PUC colleges (195 students) of Mangalore participated in the fest. Mr. Venkatesh Baliga, President, Lions Club of Mangalore inaugurated the fest. Dr. Laxmi Narayan Bhat, Registrar (Evaluation) presided over the function. Mrs. Nancy Mascarenhas, President Lioness Club of Mangalore was the Chief Guest for the Valedictory Programme and Mrs. Linette Pinto, Chief Manager Canara Bank, Valencia, was the guest of honour. Ms. Cecilia F. Goveas, HOD, Department of Economics and Ms. Joan O’Brien, HOD, Department of Sociology were the staff coordinators for Rang Bharo ‘17. Padua PUC College bagged the Overall Championship and Capitanio PUC College were the Runners Up of the fest.
