As a part of academic practical curriculum, the second year students of Post Graduate Department of Criminology and Forensic Science, Forensic Psychology and Criminal Justice Specialization accompanied by Mr. Niketh P.S., Assistant Professor of the Department visited Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre, Manjeshwar, Kerala on 2nd May 2024 at 10am.

The main objective of the visit was to know the functions of the Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre, to interact with the patients and learn about the different treatments given to them. Students were first given a brief session about the institution by Ms. Saritha, Administrator, Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre, Manjeshwar, Kerala. Further, there was a tour of the institution to witness the facility provided for male patients and the old age home where the students got to interact with the residents. The students also conducted a few activities for the residents and gave them a chance to showcase their talents.

The students were exposed to the facilities provided for female patients where they put up cultural programs for the residents. The residents also performed dances and songs. The visit ended with a photo session and a video of the students talking about the visit was recorded. The students expressed that the visit was very informative and insightful. A total of 07 students and a faculty were present during the visit.
